Ok I have got read and get caught up on all the days happens in a little bit but I need ya'll option. DH can't see what I am wanting when it comes to my pen/run. It is going to be somewhere around 14 x 25 x 7ft tall. He was thinking T-bar and wire, I said NO we have to cover this pen. I was thinking wood frame with wire and covered. How big is ya'll, and how did you cover it and with what did you cover it with.

I haven't actually ordered any chicks. I did have some set up from a kid in TN, and GameandMore, and they understand the financial setbacks I've had. The lady I spoke to yesterday was to find out how long she would be hatching out chicks. I left it with I would contact her if I can get them. The silkies were never ordered. The chicken farm doesn't take orders, you just go and get them. These financial setbacks are beyond my control. If they hadn't happened I would have a flock of chicks now. The $3K i've had to pay out so far this year has hit my budget quite hard. It is nice you are so understanding of my single mom situation. It must be so nice to have a husband that makes a lot of money to allow you to stay home and have all the exotic pets that you have.

I don't like chocolate chip cookie. I made them for my son.

That is a cool looking bug. I've never seen one like that before. Except on Animal Crossing.

I'm with you on this one...besides if breeders don't want to do business with you then they won't. Hang in there girl-too many on here like what you have to offer!!

this is fred he is my second to oldest I dont know what kind of rooster he is I just think he is pretty

Yay, got my ship date - April 30th!

Minimum order was 25 and I only want around 8-9 hens, so there will be some extras to get rid of in a few months when I can tell their gender. All bantams - silkies, easter eggers, dominiques, and buff orpingtons.

how do you get rid of them??? how do you choose?? That is one reason I don't want chicks. I really can only have like 6 max, but I'd have a hard time getting rid of any not knowing how they would end up.

Ya know we were just talking about unexpected stuff happening...well...i was just doing the dishes an SNAP, the spigot just blew apart. Sprayed water all over the counters and right up the front of me...now look like one of my when she gets caught in the rain....not funny y'all.

Guess I'll be going to HD today. That's what I get for trying to save money and buy cheap, plastic made in China junk. Only had it about 6 mths. It's ok i want one with a sprayer this time aanyway.

That happened to me but in my bathroom...the little thingy just fell out. Now the water doesn't spew out, only if you put your toothbrush or your hands in the stream. No money for a new faucet, besides, if I replace that one I have to match the other one and the rest of the ones in the other bathrooms.

I only have room for 6 but got 9 chicks... I had heard that some of the chicks don't make it sometimes.... Well ...they are all doing great .. Now I'm not sure what ill do... I think I will wait till they are out of the brooder and see their temperament and then pick which ones to give away and see if any of them are Roos... I have a girl at work who has plenty of room and will take the ones I think I'll be able to give away...

I'll have to do that. Kiera and the girls literally all had a picnic and ate watermelon together. It was cute. I should have gotten pictures.

I was thinking about using plastic fencing like this. I've read reviews on a few of them and this one seems to hold up better than the others.

I opened, or at least tried to open the dishwasher tonight and this happened.



The front cabinet panel fell off. :/

I hope I can fix it myself. I really don't want to pay to have someone fix it. The budding DIY'ers I bought this house from should have been a little less, make that a lot less, DIY. I can tell you what they started with and the progression through the house. The dishwasher was not installed correctly. It's been leaking when I run it lately. I didn't realize it was destroying the front panel. I may need to pick up a new one at IKEA. Hopefully not. They have changed the style of the cabinets I have and they aren't quite the same now. [[[sigh]]] I'm not even sure what I can do to fix this. I wish my best friend still lived here. He would know.

Looks like I will be washing dishes by hand for a bit. Oh well, there are worse things in life! Much worse.

Good day folks...been trying to rain a bit this morning.  Was really wanting to give my little gang a chance to get their feet on the ground today.  I'm hoping the sun will come out later.  We've been trying to get some other work done around here.  The grass is so high in my dogs' yard all I can see is their tails...lol...Cut down a ton of bamboo yesterday.  Don't ever start that stuff...you'll NEVER get rid of it.

Gonna get a couple of buddies for our little hatchling.  It was the last one the other egg was a dud
Can't keep Belle from slinging litter into the water and food, little guy was so thirsty cause she had buried the water with chips.

Has anyone tried the small animal water bottles with the little ball in the tip for chicks? Maybe paint the end of it with red polish (not the ball)
Gotta find something better than what I have, don't want them to be thirsty, I have to clean these every couple of hours

I did try the water bottles for rabbits. Painted the tip with red nail polish cause that's what I had. It worked but the pullets pecked the Polish off. Can't be good. Probably better waterers out there.
