It's supposed to hold 25lbs of feed. I don't know if holds exactly that much, but comes close. I put almost half a bag in one when I filled it up.I love that idea. How much feed do you put in the bucket?

You think there will be any modern game bantams for sale? I live in houston
Star there should be no haul away fee. That should be on the owner not you. I guess counties can do what they want but I would investigate that further. Doesnt soud right to me. My mother worked for the the city office in my home town for years and they handeled that. There are state regulations every county/city has to follow. Differnt for each but I've never heard of that. This is a service we pay for as tax payers.I'd have to pay a fee for animal control to come pick them up, if I understood what they told me on the phone right. Comes down to I would be surrendering an animal and so need to pay for its care type of BS. So either the person I talked to is full of crap, or they are trying anything to get a buck.
Adorable! Congrats!!
Poor baby...but what a great life he hasHarley, are you cooking those for all of us?? They look delicious. I'm thinking with a honey ham, I can have one ready next week!! let me head to the lease. We'll have a meal!!
Mags - He doesn't eat dog food. He eats what he catches. When he was three he took on, and won, over a Bob cat. The older he gets the less he can hunt as he is starting to ache. Blue won't live much past nine... Wasn't supposed to live past one after being hit by a car vet said out him down. All those pins and such in his back are holding him together and they hurt more often than not these days. He's a good boy.
Looks amazing!!
Where did you get your jubilee from?
Hotwings! lol jokingThe chicks are doing great. Just lost the one the others are eating me out of house and home. Outside the 2 EE roosters got into a fight yesterday and the low one in the picking got hurt had to put him into a cage. The back of his head was very bad and bleeding so I dr him and put him in a cage but he wants back in the coop. Poor bird does not stand a chance to get on top of the other rooster. Guess I will ether get him his own girls or he may go to freezer camp. Only problem there is he is a bantam will be more of a snack the a meal.
Too sweet!
All these babies!!!
Nature does an excellent job of camouflage!
Maybe I'll name that chick Waldo.![]()
I LOVE him!
Ahahaa!! That sounds like meSorry, wife roasted corn on grill along with steaks. Must have got them on sale (cheapskate). Love her for it!!. Get back with you in a few minutes!!
Oh no! Glad you got her in time!My sebight Becka wound up keeping 6 chicks. The last one was making good progress about 3:30. Checked again at 4:30 found it up in the water bowl. She tried to kill it. Has 2 peck wounds on it. That's what she did with the dud eggs, kicked one into the water pan. It didn't drown but was soaked and cold. I grabbed an old sock wrapped it up and sat with it in the sun and dried it's feathers. Now in a bowl, inside a coffee can sitting on a heating pad. Is much stronger. See nothing wrong with it. I guess she decide no more because it hatched 4 days later than the first.
So we will be momma hens
