Everyone, meet Zeus! He turned one day old at 3pm(almost three hours ago). His birthday present was getting to spend some time outside. Zeus is a Mallard/Welsh Harlequin mix.

My eggs are due to hatch next wednesday and I am so eggcited~ 11 out of 15 is great results. I can see them wiggling inside the shell now every once in a while. I cannot wait! Yumyum is being a very dedicated broody momma. Would you guys suggest I be there for her first hatch, or do you think she will be ok?

Dad-Gum!!! Who got rain???? We just got hot!! Need rain!! Garden not doing good!! Need Rain!!!

We got some drizzle this afternoon. The Ladies were roaming the whole back yard when it started to come down, but they were easily convinced to go back into their yard (so they could hide in their coop/run). I also raked a lot of our compost back up into a pile, and before they hid under their roof, they enjoyed pecking at the freshly exposed ground. Yay for rainy-day grub!

Lol, don't feel bad. My birds were out, then it started raining and the chickens, ducks, and geese refused to go back in. Now the waterfowl I want too worried about, the fuzzy goslings were easy to put away, and ducklings are still in the nursery. All other waterfowl are fully feathered so figured a wetting wouldn't bother them.but the dang chickens thought they were waterfowl too! Should have seen them running around playing in the rain. I think my chickens are very confused!

Oh, and found another leak in the goose/duck pen. Gotta seal it up too.

oh no that sux! And lol maybe they just wanted a good bath
