Hens I'm sorry to hear about your accident vut glad you are taking it in stride. My best friends younger brother just got hit by a girl who was texting amd didn't look before she changed lanes. Almost killed him.

These are our last hatch...June 30th the little white one is the one the broody Belle tried to kill...still has a bald spot on it's head.

These are the three (the bigger birds) we bought from a local breeder. They are suppose to be Aussie mix and will be full size birds but the roo was kinda small and I suspect they will be small too.


Our gang enjoying a big ole melon from the garden

This little thing is really cool...got it at Walmart for $2.97...it's meant for wild birds but works great for chickens

Kale for lunch girls?

Hi everyone! It's been a bit since I have been here. My chicken plans got put on hold till winter :/ anyway I did get 2 ducklings today! I've been thinking about it for a bit and everything just kinda worked out. Hubby said yes, last 2 for the year, 2 for 1 deal. You know how that goes! But I was wondering if I could get some help. Since it hot out I don't have a lamp on them. They didn't have one on them in the feed store and they are 2 weeks old. I have them in my garage and it says pretty darn warm all day and night. I would say mid 90's. Are they okay out there or do I need to bring them into the house with the ac and put a lamp on them instead?

As long as they aren't huddling together they'll probably be okay. Haven't had a light on the guineas in over a week. They're not much older.

Lost four guineas today to a snake. Thanks to my dog Blue there is no more snake to speak of. Good boy Blue.

On the bright side my rose is booming.
