If you know anyone who could give Fiona a good home, let me know. I need to find her a home soon, before she becomes more attached to us. I'd love to keep her, but she and the Siberians have communications difficulties and my hubby can't handle her. She is a typical Rottie, serious, protective, and sometimes stubborn. My hubby is new to dogs, never had any growing up, and I warned him about Rotties since I grew up with them but he didn't believe me. He is completely out of his depth with guard dogs, and he should not have a dog like a Rottie until he does know what he is doing. The Siberians are comedians, they never take anything serious and dont have a guard dog nature, he can start learning dogs with them. I can easily handle Fiona, she is a sweetie, but I am not always home. So I think it best if we find her a new home.

Good luck finding her a home. I have a full house as well and tend to go with hounds. She looks like a sweetie. I know at our local dog parks we can post flyers and whatnot. Worth a shot to post her there.

I posted her on a website called rescueme.org
I also informed our training facility and a lady who specializes in Rottie rescues about her. Unfortunately no one seems to want a 2 year old spayed female. One person asked if she was intact and pure bred, I'm guessing they wanted to breed her. I have turned a few people away who would not have been a good match, and those that were promising wanted a puppy or a male. So she is still here, and I am still looking.

Hey Y'all,

I'm a newbie chicken owner.  I was given 2 leghorn pullets and a leghorn cockerel. They were someone's Easter chicks so they are about 4 months old now.  I would love to add to my flock, maybe 2 to 3 more pullets.  Know anyone selling pullets in the north Texas area?  Thanks, Joules

Depends what you're looking for!
If you're not picky, or don't know where to start, you could check craigslist. Some hatcheries will ship pullets, but shipping is pricey.
I've never bought pullets, just chicks Im in the Dallas area btw, welcome!

My husband just made this for The Ladies, so they won't have to sit on top of one another to lay their eggs.

TSC only had one box, and hadn't gotten anymore in since I bought the one...so our 5 ladies have been battling for time & space in our only nesting box.

My husband will be making three boxes, total. Lucky ladies.

The TSC box & two of my husband's boxes fit perfectly in the main coop. Will save the fourth box for when the Bootsy & Barbarella start laying.

There has to be someone out there who would take a dog like Fiona. She sounds perfect for a family with kids, but no other dogs. Every good dog should find and deserves a forever home.
What you are doing by getting your boys involved with working your dogs is totally cool! That is a win-win!
My big knuckleheads (dogs) aren't bright enough LOL They're just big lovebugs that would rather lay around on the cool tile, wait until evening to go out and bark at the UPS truck!
But we love them and wouldn't take nothin' for them. They're all mutts that nobody wanted and will be here to the end.

Our girls don't seem to like open boxes. We even bought 3 of the plastic, hang on the wall, enclosed nest boxes from TSC. A few of them use those but most of them still prefer to use the milk crate boxes. Could be because those were their first nests and the original boxes we gave them.
Maybe hens get set in their ways and don't need no new fangled nest box...silly chickens

It's almost as if all these fancy coops & nesting boxes are only for the humans...the ladies usually don't care, as long as they're comfy.
