Awesome...those are so pretty!
Glad all your gang is getting along.
I would really like to let "The Littles" and remaining chickie out but when we tried about a week ago they were not well received and then two wound up getting killed. Just going to keep them in the grow out pen until they are much bigger.
I wonder if it would make a difference turning them out into the yard instead of letting them out in the chicken house, at least they could run and get away instead of being jumped as soon as they hit the floor. Will have to think on that.
Anyway...congrats on the nice eggs!

I think we lucked out with some mellow hens...but I think it also helps that they free-range and have plenty of space to avoid one another if need be. The 5 new birds sleep together in our converted doghouse coop, while the 5 original hens continue to rule the main coop. :)

There in lies part of the problem...we now have 40 chickens and they are in a yard that is 600 sq ft but the chicken house is smaller and no room to get away. DH doesn't want to let them free range, he's afraid something will happen or we won't be able to get them all to come home. Poor littles are out number big time. When I got the Aussies we just turned them straight out into the yard and they did fine and were accepted in a few days. I probably should have done the same thing with the littles instead of putting them in a pen.

Good to hear! Have missed your entertaining posts and pics.

Sorry, things have been busy for me. My chickens were hiding their eggs under a tiny space I swore they couldn't get into, it's blocked now. It turns out that I only have 1 gander for 7 geese. So it's a good thing I didn't sell him, lol.

My kids and I started training our dogs in agility, and they are having a blast, both the kids and the dogs, lol. We also do obedience classes.
