To help get my second batch of chickens to assimilate into the first batch of chickens I have temporarily moved my rooster over to the goat pen. I may be moving the grouchy hen over to solitary so the smaller ones can get in with the three red hens. They seem to get along with them until the white one comes barreling in pecking at everyone and making a general ruckus. We will see how tomorrow goes.
We tried a week with the rooster in the pen but he would keep everyone separated and on opposite ends with himself in the middle so I have moved him out for the time being. He is getting along just fine with the nigerian dwarf goat. He's almost taller than my goat! The goat is only two months old so he isn't territorial yet, he's more concerned with the fact that he gets his milk in a bowl now and not in a bottle. Makes him mad.
Glad we had some sunshine today!
I really hope that the guy with the broken roof gets it fixed. That can really suck! Ours leaked for a while and then we finally got it fixed just in time for a pipe to break under our living room floor! (seriously, no one checks for leaks in the living room) We didn't find that out until my husband stepped through the floor.
Hope everyone has a great evening and w aonderful tomorrow!
