Had a good time this morning at the Conroe trade day! Got to meet Ken, but missed Kate/orumpoultry.
I had hoped to pick up some silkie chicks, but didn't see many. None that were the blue and black colors that I wanted.
I did get a POL trio of silver Sebrights, and a blue laced red Wyandotes chick.
That's to bad you can't make it! I'll be going, didn't get to make my shirt. Had to much going on this week. I'm bringing my cameras though, I can show off pictures! And take some.
Hey I'm new to all this. I live about 45 minutes west of fortworth in the little town of lipan. I have 8 chicks 2 baby turkeys 4 small ducks and 2 fully grown hens looking to add more and looking for any suggestions on what I need to do to keep a good safe flock.
Yeah, we just stopped for the day. We have the frame on our 16 foot run done, It is right about Six Food 5 inches tall, stapled in most of the bottom hardware cloth, put up the door I made, latches and all. A lot more hardware cloth cutting, and a chicken wire top and the run will be done. After that, I need to finish the frame for the 55 gallon rain barrel, hole drill through the barn siding, and set up the Chicken Fountain and that coop is done. It sounds simpler than it is.It was great meeting y'all today!! We just got home about an hour ago and we are both tuckered out. Enjoy your new chicks!!
