Potential tropical storm coming and a Flood Watch for my area from tonight until Wednesday. Not looking forward to half the city being underwater again.

I got some replacement chicks in from Ideal a few days ago since half of my original order form Murray Mcmurray ended up dying from cocci. Last night I found a couple of the chicks from my first order walking around the laundry room and one perched on the lamp over the smaller brooder. So much for keeping them away from each other. At least I caught them before this weather system that's coming in as I would hate to be hunting for bird netting while everyone's fighting over the last gallon of water. I don't want to be chasing little chickens all over my laundry room in the dark if the power goes out. Plus, there's a gap under the door to the kitchen big enough for them to get through to where the over excitable puppy sleeps. She's not prone to hunting behavior or anything but watching her play with the cat has convinced me she would accidentally hurt anything as fragile as the chicks are.

Doesn't look like we are going to catch a break with this weather, we just got a good shower, had to put the girls up real fast. I am afraid we are gonna get a soaking down here in the Fe. rg's

I'm in Dayton on the other side of Crosby.... The dang trinity is already flooded. It has stayed up since all the flooding in Houston. If you have seen the coverage of the cattle being moved and all that well I live down the road from there. The water is right up to the road in certain places and the railroad trestles. I cannot fathom what we are going to do with even MORE
Water. God help the ones that are all ready flooded or are about to be. ...I hope we aren't. But I assure you we won't have power with all that wind.

RG y'all have some nasty weather coming your way. Its supposed to upgrade to a Tropical storm after land fall. Great. We could use some rain but not that much.

We have had enough rain, I have a house on Livingston, that lake is full. I feel for you guys if this thing walks up the Trinity and floods Dallas--you know what then. I saw this last Wednesday coming, figured with how the year was going....BINGO. rg's
