Texas

Hello! Thought I’d give this a shot in this thread. I live near Waxahachie (which is near Dallas) and I’ve got a tiny little trio of bantams who need a home—an extra bantam cockerel and two lady friends :love I *believe* he is a splash Dutch bantam. I believe his friends are the same. They are 15 weeks old. He’s beautiful, but as I said, he’s an extra. I already have a silkie cockerel, and I’m afraid the two won’t get along because of the size difference. I’ve tried Craigslist, but all I’ve gotten so far are people looking to fence stolen merchandise. This is a last ditch effort to find them a home before I start watching videos on how to make dinner out of him. See pictures below. It’s the cockerel, the silver pullet, and the dark grey pullet. (The Japanese bantam, the dark black OEGB, and speckled one are staying.) I can meet anywhere within an hour’s drive. Heck, a two-hour drive. Seriously. I want to find them a home. Thank you!

He is so pretty. If you decide to vacation in Corpus, bring him down to me :p

Hi there! I'm located in Dallas, and I'm looking for a home for a Muscovy I'm fostering.

Yesterday, I found a couple of teenagers trying to dump a juvenile Muscovy into a creek. The bird wouldn't leave them, so I asked what was going on. They said they received the duck as a chick as an Easter gift, and no longer want it. The duck is approx 3 months old. I told them I'd find it a home for them.

I don't have the adequate resources to keep a duck, and all wildlife rehabilitators have turned me away because they already have too many ducks.

Does anyone here know of anyone, or any forums I can visit with people who are willing to take in the duck and (hopefully) integrate it into their flock?

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!

That is so sad! Why do people buy pets for gifts? I hope you find the duck a home soon.

I'm in Corpus and have 5 BLRW roosters that I need to get rid of ASAP. If anyone is interested please let me know! 2018-06-27 17.33.18.jpg 2018-06-27 14.35.30.jpg 2018-06-27 14.23.56.jpg 2018-06-18 19.09.14.jpg 2018-06-18 19.08.03.jpg

I do have to admit that it is a nice morning for coffee on the porch. And I do not yet miss layering my clothing and the coat and mitten thing! I am not a cold weather person but it is a hot one this year.
Well, I am definitely a cold person! I am sorely missing our winter weather right now.

The only bright side is I don’t need heat for chicks!
