Hey there,One point I missed you senile old manPassion flowers are perineal what is forcing you to repurchase them or did you forget to purchase them? Roll with the cheap as is our mantra and get 10-15 for $5 as I did. Did Harvey flood them out as they do like their feet dry? At lowes/HD they are probably $9-/plant, monsantoed and geneticly identical air-layered clones.
Yes. Those are passion flowers & fruit or maypops. Is the fruit ripe? Try it.Hey there,
Just a quick question...
Are these the same flowers you are talking about?

I am just curious because after shredding about 3 acres I came across tons of these flowers.
I always thought it was more of an (pretty) invasive weed, however it looks exactly like this picture.
I tried to snag a couple of these from a local Park's walking trail last year to plant but it didn't work out. I think the fruit were not ripe enough to eat at the time.Hey there,

Yes those are the ones. I am betting if you have a large stand of those near you then you almost certainly see a lot of Gulf Frittilary. Once they are up and growing they can certainly act like an invasive spreading underground via runners and popping up a few feet from the original plant keeping them contained via a lawnmower helps. @Texas Kiki some species require cold stratification for the seeds to germinate.Hey there,

Planned on planting near chicken run & fallen fruit goes to the birds. Been warned that squirrels love them also.
