Texas

Well, TD 19 has formed off the coast of Florida. Don't think it will have any effect on our weather. The tropical wave that has just formed off of Cabo Verde may have some potential to be a bad storm if it gains momentum. The tropical waves that come out of Africa this time of year have a habit of being strong Cat4 or 5 storms.

So I finally figured out why my neighbors scalp their lawns. It is something called "Guinnea Grass" that grows 2 feet for each of inch of rainfall if you do not scalp. This stuff eats weedeating string like a chain link fence. Me being a DFW native guy I know not to cut my St Augustine short. It is going to take me a good long time to get rid of this grass. Hoping for some lost army worms or a locust invasion soon.

Looks similar too, Sorghum halepense (Johnsongrass).

What is on my mind today is this. I do not ever want to have a broody silkie escape with a clutch of eggs again. So........My sneaky egg thieving silkie broody is probably ready to set her tykes loose soon I am thinking I am going to put a tracking collar on her this time. https://www.amazon.com/Esky-Wireless-Locator-Transmitter-Receivers/dp/B078XR8C15# this one is close to the price of a single Cube tracker but I can necklace 6 birds, who cares if they loose it as it seems to be and item designed to be found.

Cube makes a bluetooth one and you use it with their App, but what kind of data spillage will happen that way I prefer the rfid version.

As I was feeding my birds about 2 hours ago! I almost met my destiny with certain death. I reach down to empty the feed trough and refill it, my arm/hand was about 6" away from a 2 1/2' rattlesnake. Why it didn't strike or rattle is beyond my comprehension. Didn't see it until I was back up right. Certainly made my butthole pucker!

I feel that way every time I find a scorpion while half asleep in the bathroom at night. Stumble in half awake and leave the room wide eyed @007Sean
Those are another one that make you jump about 2 feet straight up in the air! I look like a cartoon character, trying to get away from either one.
