There is also this route, a little less expensive and other shwagg too.So DW and I are thinking along these lines for a tire cover that we really do not need for the Jeep. It is not accurate as to how to shift our gears in the least but sends a message. We also have that EVTS stuff but I doubt many folks in the US can still drive a stick shifter.
FYI. Many pet adoption places are now adays giving folks appointments for bring their pets up to see how they interact with the possible adoptee pets.... We did that with almost all we have had over the last 13 odd years.... At one point we had 11 dogs ... Maltese to brother sister Great Pyrenees..... So don't say no to a rescue ... Just yet. Go test the waters.Oh man I hear you completely. This dog is a force of nature and also the middle ground between my wanting another mini dachshund to replace the two I lost to cancer and my man wanting a Malinois to replace the blonde GSD he lost to a mountain lion back in central CA. She was and remains a very pricey gal. Between her constant needs and everything she’s destroyed, idk how we’ve managed especially this very challenging year. Absolutely gorgeous but she’s a major reason why lots of things have had to take a back seat. Also why we’ve had to get dog bite insurance despite being mostly deep in the woods.
I gotta say the tire biter toy with the gsd on the tag they have at TSC and Walmart seems to hold up and keep her occupied. She isn’t interested in kong anything and destroys even ‘big dog friendly’ tennis balls and bully’s in seconds. We got those rescue kittens and she’s pretty much besotted with them when she isn’t outside stalking the chicken coop trying to herd the birds to nowhere. Don’t know how the little cats manage being 1/8th her size and having zero chance against her insane brute force but they come out fairly unscathed and everyone still cuddles and grooms one another on the bed with us every night so can’t be too bad.
We really have to get her another dog. Poor things. Tons of gsd at the pounds around but we are torn about the idea that they could be traumatized and snap on our little pack. Either way I’m pushing for a new dog. I feel that having another dog about her size should help her exercise some of her incredible energy and also hopefully socialize her since this year has made doing normal social things with her as a pup like seeing different people very often and being out and about, uncommon. Everyone including my in laws keep bringing up getting goats, sheep or pigs for her to Shepard instead of another big dog but I don’t want any of those! So much more work and I’m honestly just not a fan. We have really vicious wild pigs everywhere here and it’s put me off even cute domestic ones for now. I’d rather just get a dairy cow who will likely maim the dog for trying to mess with her. Compromises will have to be made either way.
That’s great that you rescued your pup! I would never say anything but our neighbors confine their animals in spaces I feel are too small. Its not really my business and they do take care of them but I do wish they’d give them all a better set up. Not like they are lacking space either... I’m no expert but I wouldn’t like those spaces if I was any of those creatures.
I really would try to redirect your hubby away from the malinois and back to a GSD. They are not easy animals to train or keep occupied unless you can devote 4 hours per day engaged in play plus the training. We have lost a couch to ours and every dog and cat bed in this house to ours. Even with chew toys laying about.Oh man I hear you completely. SameNothing from me. I let the prognosticators study the swirly winds and then decry their prophecies.
Speaking of which, they think it'll freeze here tomorrow. I'm still upset about the frost that zapped the tropical plants that I didn't protect.
What? You DIDN'T share? On a totally differing tangent my cat was thinking I wanted to share my 3AM grilled cheese sammie with him. I don't and had to shoo him away. I can't believe the brat even tried to get to my food after 14 years of togetherness. His stuff comes out of a can and not off the stovetop.
