Looks like some wild and wooly weather headed our way. Stay safe
Lost power!
Recorded winds “sustained” above 55mph gusts easily above 60mph.
Thankfully I had already prepared for this days ago.

we had just started watching “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” a little while before the storm hit…
We lost power right as the Mom saw her little boy was running out into the field from her bedroom window and Mom was going downstairs to go get him….

power did a double flicker out, came back for partial for 1-2 seconds and then went out for good. A few neighbors on our street came back up for a few minutes before they went back to joining us “in the dark.”

that was about 8:50PM CST… it’s still out.

From last night….

Closed on house. It's mine! Gonna start moving the boxes to it. Previous owner suggested drling holes in culvert and sewing to fence. He even left wire there to use. Gotta thunk it out. How hard is culvert to drill??
Are you using a sharp bit or a dull one? Add oil and don't burn the temper out of the drill bit.

If you can support/wedge/fit a piece of wood in the culvert, use a nail to punch holes. If you had a stump or fence post for backing, a 10 penny nail and hammer would get her done, too.

A new adventure begins.

I can give you a visualization for this method with spare wood and a round pseudo-culvert camera double if need be…
