I hear ya loud and clear. Had two days in the last 7-8 days where the chance for showers started around us BUT, the prevailing winds started overhead and blew them AWAY from us & the spotty showers got other areas really close to us nice showers…Going to be another 'egg frying' day! 82°F for the low overnight. 106°F with a heat index of 113°F. yesterday, expect the same today! As I'm texting this more thunder to the SW but it's moving to the NW. And another anvil developing directly South of my place but I doubt it will get here either.
These pics were from about 6:45pm. The second pic, the anvil is directly overhead and dissipating!

Only good thing is the RFD is blowing cooler air over us!
ETA: This is the 3rd pop up, just South of me the anvil is almost directly overhead!...no rain.
