Texas

Rained in Granbury for about 15 minutes. Less than 1/2" rain and some small hail. Microbursts apparently, since trees are broken and heavy lawn furniture blew away from several houses. Still have to track down the furniture.
Yep, that pic I took was from the scale house at the Rock quarry where I work, about 30 minutes after I took that pic lightning hit the scale and fried it

Well, I was fooled again, this time it actually made it here but only a sprinkle!
I'll
take it, plus the cooler temp.

Yesterday's rain event was canceled. A BIG healthy storm was headed straight at me. I just knew it was gonna rain. I should have washed car, hung clothes on line, moved mattress, couch, tv e erything outside and aired house out, left cell phone outside.
I didn't
Storm split and went around us.
No rain
None
Nada
That's exactly what has been happening here....storm comes up and either 'peter's out' or goes a different way than it looked to be heading!!! <sigh>
Did manage to get a little over a 1/2" Thursday.

Turn the oven off. We didn't Preheat or warm, we went straight to broil.
And broiled.
No marinade, sauce etc...
Texas is just broiling to a crisp.
Turn the oven off.
Open the smoker
Chunk the BBQ pit in the crick.
We're done.

Forecast here in Granbury is 105F today. It is usually a degree or two warmer at my house. That's 41C for the rest of the world...
