Texas

:barnie :fl Looks like this again this afternoon...all round, 2 days in a row, surrounded but no rain! Can see, smell the rain, hear the thunder but no rain here! The old native saying, "if it's cloudy all around, it's gonna rain in the middle" just isn't true! :lau

Yuppers, know that feeling here as well for quite some time… here is our current tease… all the local WX forecasts call this long Red dashed line a “dry line.” Well all that wetness has literally been stationary in the radar loop too. Which one can argue as the anchor-like effect that’s typical of that dryline… it won’t let storms pass it.

So, our forecast of 24% chance of rain today is almost completely dependent on that “dryline” moving east or (fingers crossed) evaporating…

Then…. While running errands… got several
“Severe WX” warnings from local NOAA and opened the radar app….

Several areas finally got some. Our house got enough to get stuff *wet* but, not measurements from the WX station.

We drove home
Through areas that got some quick dumps
Of a lot of rain….
