I hear them asking for more leaves. But they're all almost ready. The speckled and dark red ragged birds are my oldest girls 2 brown eggs a day
They'll get em, after this rain, and leaves dry out. Coop litter is puzzling me-not sure what's going on. Bad rain storm, then3 days of drizzle damp, left everything wet in coop. I bought 2 bales pine shavings(no dry leaves here) and scattered in coop with pdz before freeze. No smell, it's drier, not totally but it "looks" funny. Dark mulch mixed with pineI hear them asking for more leaves.![]()
I was just being a smartass, lol, but loved the pics! It's been pouring here for about an hourThey're heading into coop, getting dark (stormy)View attachment 3361618
I'm considering some black austrolorps also. How would they fare in the heat?Welcome and Good Morning!
I do stay away from the feather feet but that is because of gumbo mud everywhere (lots of clay). I've had all three of those breeds without issues. I don't think you will have any issues.
They were bred in Australia for the heat. The ones from Ideal that i had did fine. Shouldn’t be an issue.I'm considering some black austrolorps also. How would they fare in the heat?
