This month, skygazers will be treated to a once-in-a-civilization sight: a green comet named C/2022 E3 (ZTF) approaching Earth, KTLA sister station KXAN reports.

The comet, which last passed through our solar system a little more than 50,000 years ago, will reach its perihelion (or its closest point to the sun) on Jan. 12, when it will be within 100 million miles of the sun,
NASA said that in the Northern Hemisphere, the comet will be visible in the mornings toward the northwest. In February, it will move below the horizon and become visible in the Southern Hemisphere.

A out 1 yesterday, I turned the birds out to free range. At dark, their in coop, and I'm short 4 birds, a pullet kmy favorite), a speckled sussex, and 2 of the 4 feral. This morning, I got 3 of the 4 back in run. Still missing speckle. She's older and was recovering from a leg injury, still has a limp. She's either laying low somewhere or something got her. I did t b ear any major squawks/ruckus yesterday.
Meanwhile, the cats invaded run while I was corraling escapees. Bubba still in rub with birds.
