I mowed yesterday. Filled some holes in with dirt, to help lawnmower ride smoother, this morning. Planted a vitex. Dumped mow trimmings to chickens.
I used compost from run for my raised beds. I was shocked at the amount of earthworms in compost. If the raised beds (crates) fail to produce-i got a good start on a worm farm .
Also got some bermuda grass seed, to fill in bare patches.

I mowed also. The curly dock wanted to go to seed. I liked it but if I don't mow now, I'd need to scythe it. And I'm horribly slow at the scythe.

The chickens like the curly dock seed and leaves. Short window but I've got cleaver running rampant too and I want to be rid of that. I'll have to rack what the mower didn't pulverize.

Me and the hubby did yard work yesterday too, and ditto on all the trimmings going into the chicken run. I had a lot to catch up on, I was sick for 4 days.
