Well thank you! As it stands I need 24 chicks, but I'll be growing them out to 8 weeks old, none of these folks want to mess with chicks.
I'd have a hard time giving them up by 8 weeks. I'm not cut out for surrogacy.
As crazy as this may sound, I think chicks are adorable but I really have zero interest in raising them. I'd much rather have a broody do it. I'll hatch them and then they'll be raised in the in coop brooder, if I'm lucky maybe timing will line up and a broody will adopt them. But I will be hatching some to add to my flock. I'll be getting some eggs from Colt, BBS (hoping for a splash) and chocolate
Doesn't sound crazy to me. I prefer a broody raise them.
