I never measure the coffee I add the same every time I make it. I just know it's a lot. Nicknamed the wake up cake or graveyards cake by the co workers.🤦‍♀️
I make a cake that some friends named better than s@x cake, devils food cake, after it's cooked (still hot) take a butter knife and make small holes all around the cake, fill them with sweetened condensed milk and caramel. Let the cake soak it up and cool. Refrigerate, then top with cool whip and a crushed butterfinger 😉

Lol, they don't commercially make my cake I'm baking. Kinda my own invention of coffee cake. I don't make it from scratch anymore I use boxed cake mix and already made icing that I infuse with alot of coffee and cappuccino mix. Cake mix is Betty Crocker's super moist butter pecan and frosting is Duncan's Hines cream cheese. I take instant coffee and add to the mix for both and in the frosting I add dry some cappuccino mix, vanilla caramel or amaretto. This time I'm adding raspberries on top of one and strawberries on top of the other.
Yep. Sounds better than Little Debbie's. Much better.

@Matejka how are those littles doing? How are you feeling?
I'm slowly getting better. I can't "eye" the Littles like I want/need too, so my granddaughter stepped up and offered to take them til I'm better. She just finished a brood and still had brooder set up. She has them at the moment. Which is a good thing, I've killed 2 chicken snakes in 3 days. I AM better, just moving slow to prevent pain.

TRY and take it easy 😊

We have actual puddles after the rain. (This is not normal for here. Fema doesn't even have a flood plain map for my area, we just don't hold water )

...It was actually really still for here during the storm.... But I live in one of the windiest places in the US. I feel like i got some one else's rain storm.

Thunderstorms predicted for next week tho. I'm sure the inevitable house shaking wind will restore my sense of normalcy then. Hope y'all stay safe, and don't have too much to clean up!
We are 1 mile from the Gulf of Mexico on the East end of Galveston County, in High Island. Our little "high hill" is about 28 feet above sea level sitting on a Salt dome. We are about one mile in diameter....quiet little town for sure.
