Hi everyone!

I need find a new home for my 1-year-old Black Australorp rooster. He's hand raised and good at taking care of his girls. I won't have enough space or hens for him to keep him happy as I need to downsize my flock due to chronic shoulder/feet problems making it impossible to care for that many chickens anymore. Please let me know if you'd be interested in him! We are near the Tyler/Longview area.
He is a beautiful rooster. Good luck, I hope you find him a great home.

My brother-in-law lives out that way. He hasn't had a rooster for quite a while. He may be interested in your handsome fella. I'll ask him.

I have 3 Silkie Bantam roos available.
$10 each.
Hatched in may.
PM if interested. Weatherford/Fort Worth area.

Just some constructive criticism, but I think you are asking to much for young, unproven cockerels. Silkies are a dime a dozen, and there are folks trying to give them away. Just something to think about.
Thank you! I did not know how much to charge them for, all I know is that the person who gave them to me had their hens in shows and won. What do you think I should charge for them?

I have no clue, but just because her birds have won in shows doesn't mean every chick hatched is a show bird, just like show dogs, yeah know what I mean? Most of the cockerels I've hatched I've given away, or sold in a trio bundle. The only rooster I've ever sold was my English Orpington, Klaus, he was grown and had fertilized many eggs, I was offered $100 for him and my blue orp hen. You have to think, roosters are a dime a dozen and they don't produce anything (other than meat), so besides breeding purposes, they aren't really sought-after.

I understand. Though, it seems like where I am there are some people who buy some roosters. I just sold 2 Leghorn roosters almost immediately after posting them on Craigslist. I didn't sell them for much though, because I just wanted them sold.

I always start mine if pure or even if it's a mix I know the parents of at $10. Mixes I don't know the parents of or they are not from an actual project are free.

Pure Ameraucana I start at $20 and go from there. Most of them I'll let a hen go with them if I can.
