I'm in Waco, I saw 3 of the coops on the funky chicken coop tour, it was really nice being able to do that and get even more ideas in my head before we start construction on our first coop.

I am from San Marcos!

I am so jealous ..... would have loved to go to the great coop tour, too busy with Easter Sunday prep and 12 chicks under 2 banties!
But I did get to see them on YouTube....wonderful coops. Some of them made me feel humble (with my scavenged hen house and parts),
and others made me feel my coop/pen is pretty much chicken heaven for my two flocks. And I just got a wonderful aracauna rooster,
just what I wanted...still young, mid size, and hopefully not as ill tempered as my huge Hampshire guy that resides at the neighbors now.
"Blue" is out there crowing his head off, hasn't stopped since yesterday. Hope he doesn't crow again at 2:30 am like earlier today.

4 rhode islands, 2 blk sex links, 2 blk bantams, 2 americanas, and 2 tiny ? chicks under the bantams, my grand kids are thrilled....heck,
I'm still thrilled after all these years of raising chickens. Ain't Spring great?

Hey Guys- I know I haven't posted that much but I live in Carlos, TX (minutes outside of Bryan/College Station).

We need to thin our Serama flock and will make great deals on birds for BYC members... mainly cockreals... We have hacthed out multiple groups of eggs and selected the BEST & smallest birds to hold back. Last time we hatched 17 eggs, I held back the four smallest- 3 of the 4 were cockreals

Not sure of weights (but if you bring a scale with ya, we can weigh them). Guessing most should be B size... maybe some A's (our founding stock were B's). Multiple colors....super busy (sorry, no time for pics) BUT feel free to swing by and check them out.

I'll let the "holdback" cockreals go for $15ea. - $25ea. to loving/good home BYC board members.

Shoot me an email at [email protected] if interested... I should be around fri, sat & sun....

Cheers,
Graham

We are building our coop under a seasonal tree, so there will be shade in the summer and sun in the winter, we are also designing it so that the front side of the coop will be able to swing up and hook to the underside of the runs roof so that there will be plenty of ventilation.
