Hey Colie,
Even though I'm not close to you, we're ALL Texans!!! So we're all of the same family.
I'm just a bit south of Ft Worth.........this weekend the whole football world is in the Metroplex getting ready for the superbowl.
Hope you are warmer than we are....4 days in a row below 20 degrees, plus snow and wind chill that puts us close to 0 to 10 degrees.

The weather here the last two night was right about 2 degrees, it was insanely cold! Especially considering it was 60's days before that and it'll be back up to 60 this weekend! Weird!
We also got about 2 inches of snow. The elevation here effects the whole snow thing I guess but you're right wind chill is a killer. A wind chill in the negatives?!? in Texas?!? Sounds more like Kentucky to me this time of year ha!

Most importantly it needs to warm up asap everywhere so I can get some baby chicks to my house asap!

I'm just a bit NW of Fort Worth myself. Welcome, Colie! Your weather wasn't much off ours. I think we had a high of 8 yesterday or the day before. Wind kickin' and the chill well below 0. Really unusaul to have sustained low temps like this. The logistics of watering has been a real pain. Have to haul it to each pen, but at least we had the heated buckets in each pen. Hopefully tomorrow it should be warm enough to clean and disinfect those buckets before it gets cold again next week, This Dummy forgot to empty and take up all the pools and buckets before it got cold this time.
Perhaps they will have me better trained by next year....

thats good news since just fews were laid on those days . when temperature was. under 35°

honestly I dont know how long they were out in the cold my concern was for those laid under 20° , because when I when to pick them up they were burning cold.
