Texas

Anyone here from Missouri City, Texas having chicken in the backyard?
City code is to lock the chicken all day, I wonder how many of you let them roam around in the backyard.
thanks

Pry? Like great pyrenees?

This is my husky/Great Pyrenees mix his name is Texas. I named him that when I lived in Kentucky LOL then I moved to Texas! Didn't see that one coming. Anyhow he thinks chickens are squeaky toys

Colie,
YES, great pyrenees.
Your Texas is a handsome boy!!! (Love the name)
From your nice pics, one can really see the pyr in him. Sorry about the squeaky toy thing, but I guess the husky part of him had to show up somewhere?!?! Keep on working with him, who knows, the pyr part of him might take over.

Mr. Biggles (my 16 mo. old gentle giant) has learned to walk slowly around my chickens, so as not to upset them.
Puddin' (my new 14 wk old pup) is still learning NOT to chase after those moving 'squeaky toys'. She just wants to play with 'em and still doesn't understand why it's not OK. My cats are slowly teaching her that not everybody wants to play, they stand their ground and she gets her nose slapped by kitty paws. LOL

Thanks for sharing pics of you beautiful boy!!! You're both lucky you'll found each other. Keep letting him know your chickens are part of the family too, and they are loved just like he is.

There is going to be a flea market in Johnson County April 15 thru 17th.
The booths are going to be $65.00 for the entire week-end. There is suppose to be a section for just us animal people to bring our 's to sell. I am thinking it is a mini Canton.
The lady said they do it twice a year and it is huge.
I will post more info after I get it. I am thinking of maybe setting up.

But I am going to check it out.

On a side note, I am getting my NPIP testing done on Friday. We were still in the computer system.

Ohhhhh, sorry hipeatall,
Mamawolf is referring to Johnson COUNTY........just south of Ft Worth.
This is a HUGH flea market that stretches from Grandview all the way to Cleburne, both sides of the road. And yes it's held 2 times a year, spring and fall. The traffic is heavy!!!!
Terri, I haven't been for a few years and didn't know they had an animal area........YES, it sounds like a version of Canton.
I'll be in touch with you.

thanks for letting us know I will pass this along to dh as well.
He sets up at all the trade days as he calls them and sells horse tack.

He is in Mc Kinney right now. He does Cleburne, Fort Worth, Bowie, Canton and if he hears of others. Be fun to go to. Just hope its pay day that week LOL

Oh my goodness. I'm sooo glad you caught that... I would've been wandering all over Johnson City looking for your all! Tee hee!
Okay, well I will keep reading about the show... maybe it would be a fun trip still... bit more of a haul...

"...wandering all over Johnson City ...." we would have run into each other. But at least it wouldn't have taken long to wander all over! However, I do have to say, way to mash my two obsessions in one place - junkin' and chickens! I need to stay off this site.
