PS. You only need to be NPIP certified to take eggs or birds over the state line. If you are just selling in Texas all you need is the free TP test.

Dusty did mine thursday he is a nice guy it helps if you have a neighbor or two or a friend nearby that need it done as well because if a few people call it will speed up the process.

Hello everyone

Does anyone have an extra banty hen? I acquired a banty hen that was being left at a ranch, and she is so great I would like her to have a banty hen friend.

I have 5 silkies and they get along well with the banty. But they have different nesting habits and the banty is left to sleep alone. I also want anther hen that is a good egg layer.

I had 3 broody silkies that were like the wicked sisters for about a month. They made this annoying broody ball of chicken attitude. Finally laying eggs again. Would like a consistent layer like another banty.

What kind of bantam is she i have a few bantam wyandottes that lay like crazy, the game breeds only lay in clutches so they lay real good for a couple of weeks then shut down for a while then start all over.

I do not know what kind she is. I met a man who sold his ranch and he was leaving and was going to leave her there, so he gave her to me. She is small and solid black. Is that a specific breed? The rancher called her a banty. She has been laying a light brown, kind of large egg a day, then didn't lay for a week, and is laying again.

Will take a picture of Rebel. I am not familiar with bantam breeds, but I sure do like her. Is it a good idea to get another one so she can have a similar breed friend? She really gets along the Silkies but does not sleep/nest with them.

Thanks for your responses. Would be interested in a pullet, or maybe the Wyondette. But I do not know what a Wyondette is, so I am about to google.
