Texas

I am in Blum about an hour south of Fort Worth. I raise RIR , Cochin , Belgian D'Anvers and BBR Games. We also have a Holstein bull calf and 4 wild sows and a wild boar along with five dogs and two rabbits. I am looking for some turkey eggs if anyone knows where I'd appreciate it.

hey there, I'm right in your neck of the woods over in Smithville/Bastrop area! I'm looking for some feathers! Do you ever let people come pick up feathers at your place? I know it sounds crazy, but I pick them up for my best friend, who makes art with them..hair pieces, pillows, funky lamp shades etc. I would totally love it if you could even pick them up and I'll pay you or something. We're getting desperate for some new funky stuff!

I am an hour away but always pick up the feathers. None these days. Probably not until Fall. Will post when I have some. I sometimes go over to High Court (on 535?) for a horse show. I always mean to make masks with my feathers but never take the time to do it. I'm happy to give the feathers to you when I have them.

I'm in Parker County, TX near Aledo. I have several bantams that I hatched. Awaiting delivery of some day old chicks next week. My handy man just built me a fantastic coop and run. The chicks have a large chicken yard completely enclosed with hardware cloth. We put electrical wire around the bottom to keep out the many predators we have here:) in the country. He put a metal roof over both the coop and run. The chicks are protected from any bad weather and heat. They are very happy in their new home.

Hi I hope he put hardware cloth underneath everything also. The diggers are perfectly capable of tunneling under your fencing. Many people I have known lose their flocks that way.
By the way and about the weather. I am concerned about the weather modification system in New Braunsfels. I fear it may be doing more harm than good. I investigated a strange formation on the radar which looks something like a moving chrysanthemum always hovering around NB and found out they do weather modification there. Those in that area can watch it and see some bizarre things happen when clouds hit it. Lately it seems to be repelling rain. Anybody know anything? visualizing rain, Candace

Although we need rain BADLY, I've been so busy working on the coop on the weekends, I really haven't had time to mow - which usually by this time of year we are needing to mow EVERY weekend. I have to 'fess up and say I finally hired some friends of my sister's to come finish my coop roof

Although I can't say I did it all by myself, I did do A LOT of it my myself and the design/measurements are all mine!! And (I'm calling them boys because they are 10 years younger than me) boys finished in no time!!!! I'll take pics for everyone and try to post them tomorrow. It looks AWESOME!!!! My babies are going to be so much happier with all the new extra inside room. Now I'm gonna lock them down for several weeks and see if I can re-train them to lay in the next boxes. Between the snakes in the coop and the neighbors dog taking out 8 of my girls in one day, they are now hiding their eggs and I'm only getting between 6-8 a day
