Texas

Thanks for the Rooster offer, but my 'Girls are quite happy with their 'boyfriend'.....and when/if he goes back home, my Neighbor offered to give me another Rooster that he has that needs a home....so we may have a 'changing of the Roosters' in the future, but if something goes wrong with that plan, I will certainly keep you in mind. LOL.....These 'Girls' are something else! When my housemate goes out to feed and check on them he takes out a piece of bread, one of the 'Girls' (a black Hen) literally JUMPS UP IN THE AIR to get the bread out of his hand.....has anyone else had this happen with a Hen? We think it's hysterical!

. Anyone out there in the Fort Worth, Stephenville, Saginaw area? I thought I had already posted on this thread but did a search for me and didn't find anything

so thought I'd chime in. Glad to see so many Texas chicken lovers!!

I'm outside of Fort Worth, Welcome.
I really need to quit hatching, but I cant and it is so hot. I have pekins and Calls, Bob's and Royal Palms all hatching right now.

About another 70 guinea eggs to go in the bators, and 30 or so turkey eggs.

WOW now that's ALOT of hatching! I wouldn't mind having some of those when they're 'done' but don't have the house built for them yet....maybe later I will. Keep me informed as to how things progress...maybe I'll stop by some Sunday and see your 'Girls and see how you have things set up, maybe it will give me some ideas and inspiration! I'm new to this 'chicken business' but am living it. My operation is very small compared to yours though.....I only have 5 laying Hens and the visiting boyfriend. LOL

Anyone doing any East Texas chicken swaps? That would be cool, if not are there enough people to maybe get one started? The best place to have one would probably be around the Tyler area or more near Dallas. Let me know if anyone thinks this is a good idea, or there already are chicken swaps going on a I don't know about around East Texas.

I'm located in Blum just south of Cleburne and am looking for anyone close that has Serama hatching eggs for sale I would come pick them up as long as it wasn't too far of a drive. I'm disabled and use chicken farming for a relaxation to keep my mind off things so money is kinda tight but I could spare some for these if anyone has any PM me please Thanks Josh Smith

I have four three+ month old Brabanter chicks that need a new home - 2 males, 2 females. They are beautiful birds but do not fit into my breeding program. Pick up only, or will meet within a reasonable distance from San Marcos. I had five, but one got caught between the shade screen and fencing on their run.

Quihi here. We did some E-mails back in February.
I was looking for NN pullets. You had some for sale, but they
were the little squirts. I wanted the BIG mamas. I've got plenty
of them now.

Check out these fat babes hanging with Daddy.

I hope your flock is doing well in all the heat.

Those are some nice NNs Jelly we also raise NNs with a couple of projects going with them too including some madagascars, and showgirls.

Hi guys .
I also have a project with nacked necks I'm trying to breed and make my chickens look like a vulture.
I'm wonder if you have something similar to what I have or if you are way further in your project, I got some chickens with dark skin all crosses.

Good luck with your breeding program to have NNs look like vultures. I can't figure what is coming out of the incubator.
I bred my NN black/ yellow splash rooster with NN buff hens. Out of 12 chix 8 are all white! 4 are black with a white butt.
Go figure!

Don't forget. Tail feathers on NNs stick up. Vultures lay flat.
