LOL wouldn't it be hilarious if the dumb butt neighbor's fence was on OP's land and OP made the neighbor move it? would be a bit of poetic justice...

Thanks for all the advice and concern,, yes I will stay on BYC,,,, one more thing,,,,, HOOYAH!!!!! I will take all the advice and come up with something

I would also like to thank you for your service. As for your neighbors......... well, they just aren't neighborly. I can't believe someone would do this. Are they that afraid of chickens? What does your law say about ducks..... lol. Oh geepers, GEESE..... man, can they honk.

Well, many have come up with great ideas. I like the one about revamping your shed-coop. Here is a question. If your chickens are living in say 3/4 of the shed and are further way from the property line would that be legal? That would mean the chickens are further away from the persons property or is it the fact that the building that the chickens live in is 4" to close? We are talking nit-picking so go for the tit-for-tat. Find out the specifics. I don't recall how big the building is but I'm sure you could find some volunteers to move that wall 4 1/2 to 5 inches leaving the roof as an overhang? If you can't leave the roof as an over hang then that part goes too. Shame on those people. Honestly. There are more pressing things in life then someone with chickens. That's just messed up.

Two things, first and most important is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for your dedication and service to this wonderful country. Second, I would not give up either, there should be something you could do, maybe talk to another person. Talk to the VA, since you are dealing with PTSD could the VA help you out saying this is needed for your treatment?? Just a thought, I know that when I lived in PA the VA helped me a bunch of different things. It wouldn't hurt to ask! Looking forward to reading more of your posts.

One other thing, around here the set backs are measured to the furtherest part of the building (eaves) If your building has eaves on it may just have to snip a few inches off. Just a thought.

not sure what PTSD is but if its a medical condition that needs therapy can you have a doctor help you out. If not I'm sure that you can use the building as a dog pen .beagles make great pets they howel during the night if any animal goes by. they start barking at the sounds of sirens long before you can hear them .during the day they back at birds and anything else that moves.I know, my neighbor of 16 years has them.
now my husband freaks out every time my chickens do the egg song. Get your chickens and a rooster too if you are allowed .make sure your other neighbor tell him how great your eggs that you give them taste. don't mess with chicken lovers. GOOD LUCK and god bless you.

Here is a link to the local TV station http://www.wfmz.com/station/21994236/detail.html I think we should all email them about what is happening. You know there is strength in numbers. We can overcome this with you. You have served our country now its time for your country to serve you! I cant say what your nieghbor is this is a family forum. I just hate it when people cant mind their own business I am fortunate to have great neighbors. Please stay here we can figure out something.

I want to make sure you don't mind folks emailing the local TV station about this story before I do it.

I'm glad you won't let this frustration keep you from trying to keep chickens.

I checked out the photos of your coop, and i think you did a great job. It seems so silly that you would be required to put in a foundation if you moved it.

I would fix his little butt, I'd have some friends help me move the coop poor the foundation and get geese and donkey instead they are so noisy, would make your neighbor crazy...hehehe
From my heart Thank you for your service to this country, though it makes me madder than a wet hen to know our government sent so many for their purposes to suffer after they come home. Hugzz
