    Hello everyone,

New to the BYC community and new to raising chickens. Just received my first flock (15 barred rocks) and am enjoying the joys and stressed of chick parenting. Just wanted to take a second to thank everyone here at BYC, thanks to the bountiful amount of education, information and already asked questions on this site I've been able to answer all of my questions simply by searching through the learning center and the forums. I'm sure the time will come when I'll have to ask my own question, but so far every wonder or worry I have had has already been addressed. Thanks so much everybody.

Hi and welcome to BYC - what a wonderful endorsement to BYC and all its members - thank you.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

Why, 15 is a sure nice beginning.

Time we help you with some chicken math, you could
have a 100 chickens up there on Cloud Nine.

They are a lot of fun. and a little worry at times.

But we manage to get through. Glad you're with us, and
    ask the questions you need.

G’Day from down under CloudNineFarms [IMG] Welcome & Thank You!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. Not only is there lots of helpful information and tips, BYC is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out [IMG]
