I took some pictures of Bertha's wounds this morning. Let me know if you think it looks like it should. It has been four days since it happened. The last one is when I gave her a bath on day two.

Is her vent functioning properly?...hard to see if it damaged.

That looks pretty good actually. The green skin is bruising. It looks like it is starting to granulate or fill in. Keep up the Neosporin ointment twice a day. Is she eating and drinking normally?

She is getting stronger everyday. I think she would have made a recovery without the antibiotics . I've been up with her day and night since I discovered her injuries. Her vent is torn too. It's hard to get a picture of it. I've tried. I can take pictures of today's progress if it would be helpful to this thread. There has been so much good advice here, I hope it will help others in the future with similar injuries.
I just don't think she would have made it this far without all of the advice I got here. I never would have bathed her or cut her feathers. None of it. I didn't have any idea where to start. I will be forever grateful to everyone that has helped us.
She has been drinking water like crazy. I guess they know what they need. She was very dehydrated yesterday. Her wattle and comb have really brightened up to their usual red color. The pain medication has helped her rest better.

It breaks my heart to know that Hector in the UK can't get the Meds for his girl. I guess the USA is the best place in the world to live, and we should all be thankful! I am for sure. I didn't realize it was so hard for people to get medical help for chickens. So I'm lucky there too. I have the best vet team I could ever want.

I will take a couple of pictures to let everyone see the healing process. Please let me know if it is looking good or bad.
