That's it... I have a confession to make.

Quote:
I'm right there with you Jody! I can't imagine life without my chickens either. As a matter of fact, I was outside loving on one of my buff babies that came from your flock this evening. She is such a sweet girl!

-That's cute about Gypsy, Cyn!

Thank you all for jumping in here and sharing your wonderful chicken stories!

I love my chickens too! AND I'm so glad I found you guys because my friends all get this glassy look when I talk about chickens. I think they all think I've gone off the deep end!

Edited for clarity!

In most places if someone heard you making funny little sounds around birds they would walk away from you as fast as possible. And in most circles if you talk incessantly about one subject people would doubt your sanity. They probably would just shake their heads and think "just another crazy old man losing it". Anywhere except here. You are my people. Love this site.

This is great! A whole bunch, er, flock of folks who love their feathered friends like I do!

I love how some of our younger gals (2 mo old) Salsa and Ivy come right over for some lap time, regardless of how much the others may be filling their faces...for some, loving comes first! Even as young chicks, they'd hop onto my hand rather than eat - a pretty big chicken compliment!

And since I've been making sure little white leghorn Maxine gets a share of the treats (she's usually knuckled out by the boisterous gals), she's hanging around me...gosh, does this mean she needs a different name than Maxine?

We're in this together, right? Birds of a feather flock together!

Feel better, Ticks! a little sunshine, a little relaxation...see how many folks here (without feathers) care!

Nothing wrong about crowing at 4am. I must confess, I will go outside and crow with them. lol

If I go out to the coupe at Midnight or so, my Flashlight will start up my Roosters.

If my son sets his alarm clock and ignores it, allowing it to ring, he wakes up the Roosters and they crow.

And....

If my birds crow, the birds down my street start to crow.

Try their buck buck buck, begock line...you can get a whole group to join in. lol
