At least until the other foot falls off...

I think its gonna need prostetic's.... How does a chicken scratch with no feet?? Hey you can tell your DH that it will save $$ on your feed bill... You use less scratch feed

I love the smell of new baby chicks too, and give them "butterfly" kisses, and rub their little chests, and make "shish" noises like you would a human baby to calm them down. Someone posted about the jazz radio station, hmmm I might try that! Now, if my dogs would stop their jealous whining at the brooder while I'm playing & baby talking with my feathered babies, that would help the chicks stay even more calm! LOL

Sally, I have crocheted some "chicken" items for Easter and a Poultry clinic. Would you accept handmade chicken items for a donation. I have handmade, crocheted "Chick Chore Mitts" which are fingerless mittens, a hen potholder, and some Egg Cozies. I could send you some pics if you would like to see them first?

I am so nervous about this hatch. I have 10 in lockdown (not for the contest) and I'm worried I had the humidity too high during incubation now that I've read so many posts about people who have kept their humidity at like 30%. I had mine like 50-55%. Ugh. So worried.

I love Betta's. Beautiful, and easy keeping! I preferred to give them more room than the little bubbles they sell for them at the pet stores, but definitely a wonderful starter fish. One BIG tip. keep a screened lid. They are jumpers, and do jump out! I swear one of mine had nine lives. I had a tropical fish tank that had a lid, but a cut out where the heater and filter were. That boy would jump out the opening, half dry up on the floor, I'd pick him up drop him back in and eventually he'd revive. It did finally do him in though!
Have you ever bred them ? Its easy fun and the Dance is absolutly Beautiful.

Relax and take a deep breath. Humidity is not as important as temperature.

Your hatch should be fine. 40% for incubation works great for me.

Have a great hatch!
