Wow! Awesome prizes and contests! I'm actually hoping one of my hens go broody!

No limit on when the picture was taken, it just has to be your picture of your hen with her chicks. It's a bit early in the year to expect people to have broodies.

Oh good! I think I do have a couple pictures to enter then!

why not get it cheap if you can? allows more more saving money for more chickns.. I would have rather built my own coop than spend that much. lol my main coop- has electricity, a concrete pad on it, all the works! we even had a man come out and build it for us, little did we know we could have done it ourselves for half the price.

Aw yeah! That's one sweet coop! Now that's the way to go!

You don't want to know what my new coop cost! I'll tell you all anyway! Bought a prefab 8x12 shed. Came unassembled & didn't have the time to put it together. So the contractor renovating our human home built it for us in one day! All in all, almost $2,000! But hey, it was quick & professionally done. He even used left over shingles from our house roof to put on coop. I want one more coop, but it sure won't be done that way again!

My coop - a 8 x 16 duplex with each side having 8 x 12 covered and 8 x 16 uncovered run set me back around $350.... but most of the materials came from my place or acquired very cheaply
