A friend of mine posted this on my Facebook (who knows where they got it)... regardless it made me LOL so i felt the need to share on here :)

Apparently my rabbits thought this week was a good week for babies! 6 BEW Beveren babies, 5 mini Rex, and another mini Rex mama building a nest! I'm gonna be buried in babies by Easter!

Update on my hatch...almost EVERYTHING hatched early! They started hatching over the weekend, and now there's only 1 chicken egg left that's already pipped inside, and 7 quail eggs that started pipping yesterday! The duck mix hatched on Sunday. My ancona duck eggs were set a few days late and don't seem to be as far along as they should. My Easter hatch is a wreck!

On a fun note, someone I know who cares for Canadian geese gave me a gosling that was abandoned, plus 5 eggs to hatch. So we're going to have a mini flock of people friendly Canadian geese at the pond!

Welcome!

One of my black spangled d'Uccle bantams hatched but is splay legged. As far as I know this chick was early and others have pipped and are working on it. I'm not sure though if its the incubator (this is the first time I've used the Incuvue) or just bad luck that the first chick wasn't right. And as seems to be the growing trend the little thing is now residing in the front of my shirt because 1. its easy to check on lol and 2. it positions its feet the right way under its body that way. Maybe It'll form better muscle development given a little time that way? well it doesn't seem like it could get worse anyway. He's got a day or 2 to work it out and if not he'll be donated to raptor rehab. Can I donate a chick to be eagle dinner after carrying it around in my shirt for a day or so? you might be wondering? Well that's what I'm wondering lol. It is cute as can be and seems very cozy.
It won't resolve itself on it's own, you need to brace the legs together. It if very fixable, if done right away.

So in addition to my bator, my black hen went broody a week or so later. She had one egg and two golf balls. Yesterday I checked everything while I saw she was up (very convenient for me -- she does her thing at noon everyday) and my brown hen was sitting on the eggs and screaming at me! Is it normal to have an eggsitter? I went out 15 minutes later and no one was on the eggs -- and there were four eggs, all different colors, all warm. I put an x on all of them. Then the black hen came back. I still got all 4 eggs possible yesterday, so the ones under the broody were not new. I don't know how old they are. Is that okay?
If they have different hatch days, then the hen will likely get off the nest and leave the rest of the eggs. Can you candle the eggs and see how far behind they are? Do you have an incubator you could use to finish them off?

I still have to go back and catch up on 400 posts, but I have one turkey pipping! little early? i guess i set them the earliest possible date to still be included. oh and two of the eggs from my birds are pipped as well, I had them labeled "silkie mix" initially but I have since found out that my standard sized frizzle cochin actually lays these itsy bitsy eggs, that apparently start pipping early so they are actually frizzled cochin mix. time to set up the webcam!

Haha edit to say that the eggs in the last photo are not weird shaped, the photo was taken through the lid of the incubator and it is a curved lid.
Yay! Pips!

SO SORRY EVERYBODY, ABOUT YESTERDAY. I HAD SET UP THE EMU CAM AND THE BATOR AND WAS ALL SET TO STREAM, (THOUGH I WAS EXTREAMLY TIRED) AND MY COMPUTER JUST TOTALLY CRASHED AND NOTHING I DID COULD BRING IT BACK. I AM SO MAD

I'm so happy it hatched! Congratulations Caleb!

Today's lockdown right? Haven't been on in a while. Duck and chicken eggs looking good, turkeys are once again a wash. I'm about ready to give up on them.
If you set on time, then yes, today is lockdown.

Im hatching my very first chicks this year, 3 eggs first. Turns out, I'm getting 4 chicks out of 3 eggs.... And they are all growing! IM SO EXCITED!!! And I really don't know what this is. All I know is that its a bantam....

Don't know what this is either. Came from my Golden Polish Crested. I only have a Black Copper Marans Rooster around her... Should be interesting...

Twins here, Silver Laced Polish and Mottled Cochin... should be interesting to....
WISH ME LUCK!!!! Due April 28th
Good luck!

Go turkeys!

We also have the wood stove going, but I keep a big pot of water on top of it...and an elderly Great Dane stretched out in front of it.
I require photos of the Great Dane.
