This egg shell statement on the incubating suggestion scares me! I would be a fanatic weigher of eggs with them! WOW

Incubator temperature between 96.8 degrees and 97.5 degrees (97 preferred)
Incubator humidity between 27% and 34% (with 30% preferred)

Some egg shells are thicker than others thus requiring different amounts of humidity for optimum hatching rates. Very
few eggs loose the same amount of weight each week. On average they should loose around 2% of original weight
per week. Often a egg will loose 3% one week and 1% the next. We’ve hatched viable chicks from 12.5% to 17%
over all weight loss.

My friend @The Sheriff hatched her emu's. Not only did I get to hear about the incubation, but I got to play with them when they were hatched. You don't candle, you have to weigh them. Then at the end you tap on the egg to get them to hatch. She taped a quarter to a plastic container with a hole cut out, and would tap on the quarter to teach them to drink. They will go for the quarter (because it's shiny) and miss and get a drink. It was so neat! Now, they are 6ft + tall and one of her females is laying eggs.

Since I have to stay close to home until our hatchling arrives ( May) why not overflow the house with brooders of peeping chicks ?!?
