What kind of eggs did you set? Ducks, chickens?

Chickens. I set 60. I have a flock of 70 chickens now. I keep running out of eggs to sell people. Now they are wanting to buy chicks. The last batch I hatched sold in one day. I have others wanting to buy. I'm not sure if 60 will be enough lol. I started my flock just last spring. Started with 11. Was only going to have 11..... Chicken Math..... gotta love it.

I have tiny fuzz butts hatching!! Here is a bcm who hatched yesterday, poor thing is lonely! Luckily his friends, frizzle Americana, Cochin crosses should be hatching tonight or tomorrow.

We are hatching silver spangle spitzhauben appenzellers and silkies for the hatch along.

P.s. I just noticed how humid my little brinsea is!! Fixing that now.

Wanted to share pictures of the new cooler/bator I built couple nights ago. These are easy to build and I will happily share info if any one needs help building there own. I used a lighted computer fan so when the "heat" goes off it is still lit.

Good morning/afternoon everyone. Working 2nd shift kicks my butt on what time of day it is. Anywoo, this is what I have going on today. Two of my hens are trying to go broody, which would be awesome, except I think with this freaky weather it is just not a good idea, plus apparently they believe we only have one nest box.

But that is the BESTEST nest box EVER!

Congrats! And yes, your humidity is wayyyyyy too high. Condensation is bad.

blue faverolles eggs are in the house! My husband chose the blue favs!!!! I just opened the box, air cells are all great!!!!
