Okay, finally ordered my first set of eggs.

So I am definitely going to be in this hatch-a-long.

we are on official lockdown !!! im so excited !!! hopefully our first chick will hatch soon !!

WTHeck is going on?? Today I got my Brinsea SpotCheck, Thank God!! I wanted to post this for all of you using Acurites (which is what I've always used). I knew the Acurites were off but I was really shocked by this. Notice neither Acurite ever registered anything over 100* and they have been in there since yesterday. This is so drastic I'm wondering if the SpotCheck is off, lol! Obviously I have big adjustments to make. Any opinions Ron?

Lift that lid! Just a bit at a time, until it's down. Shouldn't take much.

Are you in lock down? If so, lifting it a bit won't hurt to get it down.

No we are just trying to regulate it before we try and put our eggs in.

It might just be mine but I had ordered one a few years ago and after trying it many times along with others I found that it was way off. I threw mine out so I'm anxious to see if you can prove yours one way or another. I had read also that it was very accurate but mine was not, so maybe a defective one? I guess it happens.

It depends on where you buy them. This one came directly from Brinsea so it would be strange if it was faulty.

I hope Gardeningmama calibrates hers with a body temperature thermometer.
