Count me in!![]()
Depending on how well my girls are laying I'll either be hatching EE's and/or backyard mixes...Or possibly something I've bought off Ebay for the occasion. Or all of the above. I'm buying a incubator next week plus I have my homemade. Chicks chicks everywhere![]()
YAY!! Sign me up...hopefully I'll have some duck eggs to set by then!![]()

Chooks! Now why cant you hug a sheep? not until you kiss the pig?![]()
I'm in! I have a new thermostat and a heating element for my Chestobator. I have time to do a test hatch from some local eggs to shake out the bugs. I have some Bantam Welsummer eggs coming, some polish already lined up. I am hoping to get either an order of Huastecs or an order of Breda.
ChooksChick, I think you misunderstood about hugging the sheep! You have my permission to hug them if you can catch them! Grown sheep just aren't very cuddly. However, lambs are more huggable...as long as you have Mama's permission. BTW, we may be having lambs by Sheep Shearing Day (March 22)...Farrah is bagging up!
Sally Sunshine, we used to get my grandkids and friends' kids together in the barn the day before Easter to dye eggs. No worries about dye staining anyone's kitchen floor, and the kids had a blast! We did both regular "grocery store" and natural dyes with onion skins. But, grandkids turned into teens and everyone had other plans. Now, I have 7 year old and 2 year old grands...and a lot of neighbors with kids...and the farm is now registered as an Agritourism site (with Chicken World strictly off limits to visitors, for biosecurity reasons). So...why not invite everyone?

I'm in. Always something falling into my incubators. No clue how all those eggs keep getting in there.![]()
I am in as well. Hatching JG's and JG/AM Crosses along with some BCM's.
Is there an egg swap to go with this hatch? Anyone know?
How do I join?
I think I will set six chicken eggs, unless I end up setting turkey eggs.
Anyone know of a phone app that shows dates for lockdown and hatching, and maybe even has reminders for candling?

No, no...never an enabler. There is no such thing in this supportive community of helpful educators and keen enthusiasts. Enablers? Never...

Not much else to do here in northern Montana with 20 degree weather and two feet of snow than to be supportive.![]()
