I'm hatching some buff bantam cochin eggs, and Heinz 57 eggs! Can't wait! I'm gonna plan my hatch for *very* early Easter morning to surprise my little sister!![]()
awe!!!!! that is so sweet of you!!!! edit because I am halfwit and thought we were still on the other thread ha ha ha!! too many tabs not enough space!
For the eastern box turtle, which is what I have, it's 60-90 days. They stay at a lower temp of 80 degrees, but a MUCH higher humidity of about 75-80%. And UNLIKE chicken eggs, most reptile eggs can NOT be turned at all while they are developing. Even when you dig them up, you have to note which side is up and mark it so you can keep them that way in the incubator. Turning their eggs CAN AND WILL kill the embryo.OH turtles!!! how long are their incubation times!!! how interesting! I told DH I would love to get breeding Bearded Dragons! but Turtles HOW COOL!! DO tell!
and I want to follow that incubation when you do please!! send me a note!
Me too! Me too! I want to hatch some eggs from my two white leghorns.
Glad to have you!
