Hedemora! Interesting. I have been interested because of my Climate but it's difficult to gain much info on these. I'll be very interested in learning as you hatch!

For those who are interested in Turkeys, if this hatch is followed by the Cinco de Mayo Turkey Hatchathon, where we're all about gobblers but welcome anyone hatching anything! There are folks on that thread who may be able to offer turkey eggs for this hatch, so pop in!

Whenever lots of chicks don't pip and die in-shell, I always decrease the humidity by 20%. This can be caused by inadequate evaporation, so the chick is too large to maneuver to proper pipping position. Good luck!

Did you really mean BY 20% or TO 20%?

I've been running around 30% this hatch and reducing it by 20% would make 10% and I've already tried that, almost nothing hatched; all dead in shell, with half the egg being aircell and the chicks that made it out needed help because they were shrinkwrapped.

I'll hatch with everyone again this year! I just got two new thermostatically controlled incubators so maybe my hatch rates will be better than last year. not sure what I will hatch yet, most likely a wide assortment of whatever eggs I find on ebay last minute lol
Is there a thread where people can buy eggs timed to ship/arrive specially for this hatch? that would be pretty neat since ebay sellers aren't usually as accommodating on shipping schedules as I like.

Do you rinse the clorox off with water before you use it? I am concerned it will cause fumes inside.
