So excited. 2 more days till I can set the eggs. I'm getting my Americana's tomorrow, and then my OE first thing Saturday morning, and then set time. Trying to see if I can work in some BO too. Just got the incubator all cleaned out and turned on.

I have all my eggs ready to go into the bator!

I was given three eggs this morning that were laid yesterday. When they were handed to me, I was told to let them touch each other, even in the bator, so that they can communicate as they are growing...first time I've ever heard that one! I told the gal that I have a turner in my bator and I've never heard that they should be touching. She was quite serious!

Another gal that I got eggs from was telling me that she candled some of her own eggs and they were all clear, so she's not sure how mine will do...I'll just wait and see!

No way I can catch up I haven't collected eggs yet today and I found a broody who has a ton under her, so those are out. But I have over 60 so far and still have to collect from today.

What time is set time?

I don't know if it makes a difference but I ordered directly from Brinsea?
The Probe needs to be in the correct place in the incubator. There are diffences in still air and fan forced incubators and putting the probe through a vent hole can change the readings.

Many of us do not read instructions so I downloaded the manual:

Spot Check Digital Incubator Thermometer
Instructions for Use
General
The instrument is specifically designed for use in incubators to give a continuous
readout at an exceptional level of accuracy – in the order of 20 times the accuracy of
general purpose digital thermometers widely available.
The instrument operates over a narrow temperature band, 32 to 43°C. Below and
above this range it will not indicate. It may be damaged by high temperatures. Do not
immerse in boiling water.
The probe is hermetically sealed and will not be damaged by cool water.
However, it should not be exposed to corrosive chemicals or solvents and should only
be cleaned with soapy water or alcohol.
A range switch is provided to allow reading in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Battery life in continuous use is usually about 6 weeks. An off switch is provided to
save battery life when not required.
Forced Draft Incubators
When used in forced draft incubators, the Spot Check incubator thermometer will
give a very accurate indication of temperature which is generally consistent
throughout the incubator. If the probe is inserted through a ventilation hole, be sure
that it is an air exit hole not an air inlet, or the temperature will be influenced by the
cooler incoming air.
Still Air Incubators
Still air incubators (those without circulating fans) usually have a significant
temperature gradient from top to bottom. The recommended operating temperature
will depend on the height at which the thermometer senses the temperature.
Since this is usually at the top of the egg, the recommended temperature is generally
1.5 to 2.0°C higher than for forced draft incubators.
Ensure that the probe of the Spot Check is at the recommended height but not directly
in contact with an egg. Ensure also that it is not close to the incubator wall where the
temperature may be lower.
Battery Replacement
Use a coin to release the battery cover. Replacement battery should be LR-44, S-76,
A76, G13 or equivalent 1.55v button cell. Avoid handling the battery surfaces

I contacted them via email and heard back the same day. They asked for a order number and date of purchase. I just wrote her back to say that they were ordered through Avianweb so I'm waiting to hear if I should be contacting them instead.

I just called them again, after I inspected it again and tried to take my temp I notice the tip of mine is broken! They are gonna send another out today so I can hopefully still use the new coolerbator but those eggs maybe a day or two after the 29th set.
