Hey well i candled the eggs to pick out the bad ones but i seen this is all the ones i knew were alive. Did they all die or is it just normal incubation results on day 8?




im really nervous i killed them please tell me im wrong.

cool. My penedesenca are the same way. I have a good rooster to hen ratio in all my pens

I am using bowls of water directly outside the incubator to make the incoming air more humid, and I filled the well, but put a plastic cap over it to limit the humidity stirred up by the fan pushing down on it. I hope it works. They *seem* to be progressing as they should, but my ignorance is vast as the ocean. It's ironic how much I am fighting humidity building up in there considering I live in the desert.

It's Saturday and two of the three boys are grounded (for grades, or lack thereof)! YAY! That means they get up early and help me with cleaning out coops and turning flowerbeds.

I have EEs and Silver Campines popping out like popcorn in the hatcher. It is a great day!!

They should be doing that anyway.

It builds good character. How I wish that I was raised on a farm. Oh well.... I have my chickens now.

I set 12 crele penedesenca eggs that where shipped to me and added 10 white empordanesa.
Tuesday I will set what I get mailed in the Rcom ( black penedesenca ) and will add more white empordanesa to fill the incubator
