IT CAN!!?? Oh wow, awesome!!I just lined my bator with it and put my eggs on it. How do you all use it in the brooder??? Just over puppy pads (just bought some) or paper towels? Then you rinse the poo off a few times a day?

I use this stuff everywhere! Love it! It prevents spraddle legs and I feel that it is safer than shavings in some ways. Especially for hookbills but for poultry as well. (Because some birds just have to eat shavings!) I have it lining the hatcher and the brooders. I have used it on top of towels, and over shavings. My latest tendency seems to be using a bath towel in the brooder with a layer of paper towels on that with the shelf liner on top of that. When the chicks are older and making more wet mess, seems to work well putting it on top of a layer of shavings. I'll have a few cut to the right size, and every day I pull out the dirty one and toss it in a bucket to get the poo off and put a clean one back in. After they have soaked in a bucket to get any solid stuff off, I put them in the laundry.

If my eggs are wiggling around alot on there own should I take them out of the auto turner or leave them in?
Any cheeping? When are they due to hatch, Saturday? Increasing humidity tomorrow? I would probably leave them until tomorrow, but if you hear cheeping, move them out of the turner.

The next three days is gonna feel like forever! I don't want to hover over the incubator waiting for someone to move, but I'm hovering over the incubator waiting for someone to move. oO(sigh)

You actually close them shut. LMAO.... I just had the one, I might have to go buy some more strawberries...

I closed them shut lol. I used 2 containers to separate 2 different breeds and then the other 2 breeds just hatched in the main incubator. All hatched well and did just fine. It was my first time trying it.

I also lined the containers with a small piece of the liners everyone has been talking about.

I plugged my older Hovabator in this morning to start heating up (to be my hatcher, as I have every other time...) and it is only in the 70s right now. I did open it to put a strawberry plastic container in it, and a Creme puff bottom container in it too...so I can separate the eggs when I add them in. I am worried that it isn't coming up to temp correctly yet...I was going to move the eggs tonight, but now will probably wait til the morning...
I sure hope it reaches 99.5!

I just switched the top of this one with another older 1588 I have (I ahev 2 identical older ones and 1 new one with the digital controls on top) and this one i just plugged in and replaced the other top with is already bringing the temp up into the 80s after a few min....

Does anyone know anything about them and what could be going on with the first one? The settings (toggle switches underneath) are identical in both of them...[ up, up, up, down, up, up, up up]
Can anyone help? I don't want to toss it out...

They can take quite a while to stabilize. I just took the top off mine (hovabator) to remove them from the egg turner and increase humidity and it took a good portion of the day to come back up to temperature.
