Is there an award for the latest post on final hatch numbers? I had a total of 22 for the Easter hatch along.  Sorry this so late. But they are beautiful, I just wish I knew who the father was....LOL

My turkeys are hatching one poult is here a day early..the other three haven't even pipped but they have time, 1 duck and 2 chicken to go ....so I. Am up to 3\40..The poult was very big and not white soo I will have to watch my others supposed to be beltville(mostly) she had one rio mixed in a fairly big flock this ones daddy was the rio it looks almost splash colored.

Glad to know that my hatch was not the only one running long. This is only my third incubation, but this hatch started on Sunday and ended with morning.

There is still several of us left that have ducks and turkeys...I just have 2 chickens in to teach the turkeys to eat..

I just lost my first fancy feather girl... Im so devastated. I saw a pile of feathers on the ground and I lost it. My precious baby is gone, taken by a hawk. She was a good mom. Im going to miss her like crazy </3

best broody Ive ever had, best mother ive ever had! She raised such a wonderful girl!

Going to be putting my Egg in lockdown.
Same with all my Hens, they are going to be in the coop for a while. Ive lost my rooster and my head girl (again) She never comes back when there is an attack.

Oohh nooo..I'm so sorry. I find myself always looking up at a hawk, even if it is miles away from home, and we are driving around. I tell it, out loud..ha . you stay right here in this area. I've had hawks swoop down right in front of me in the past. Just lucky that I was out there at the time, or I would have lost one for sure a few different times. I did lose one to a ferrel cat. :/

i never did post my numbers. i had 8 chicks hatch out of 18 eggs set. 4 were not fertile, 2 died early on (rings of death) and 4 died later in the hatch (undeveloped). i have much to improve, but for a first hatch, at least it wasnt a complete failure. it doesnt help that we lost power for a couple hours during lockdown =/

here are 4 of them. ill keep them if they are pullets.

I hate it, she was my baby! I raised her by herself. She and I ran machinery together and did stuff chickens dont do! I took her to stores and we did gardening...

I HATE HAWKS!!!!!

set Total of 39 eggs. 24 Black Ameraucana, 13 Dominique, One Red silkie, one Porcelain silkie

My hatch is completed. I had very poor results from the Black Ameraucana (shipped eggs) and only got 3chicks out of 24. I got 100% on the Dominiques and silkies13 one red silkie and one porcelain silkie.
18 hatched chicks out of 39 eggs set.
