[@=/u/185677/ShelbyCoral]@ShelbyCoral[/@] I will be at Mt Hope Swap this weekend if you are still wanting Poliskies. Plus I have cochin bantams hatching.

OMG THAT IS THIS WEEKEND?! Oh my!!
I just hatched 4 beautiful chicks! + My rooster that protected my flock, left me 3 of the 4 beauiful chicks! still wondering who the father is for the 4th.... xD
I will have to ask my mom if if im allowed any more, She is still grieving over our RIR, Lucy.

Just show her the Poliskie pix...lol
You have my number so just call or text if you go & I'll tell you where to find me.

quick question can i put two different aged chicks together? They are only going to be a 3-7 days in a age difference will it matter or do i have to make the new baby's a whole new brooder?

Should be fine. I keep tossing chicks from different hatches in the same brooder for 2-3 weeks with no problems. I have even had 3-4 week spans when combining older brooders after selling a few from each batch. It's usually more an issue of space than age. Just make sure the new babies have their feet well under them & are getting around before tossing them in with older babies so they don't get trampled & all should be fine.

First one has a bit of d'Uccle color to its face and nice feathered shanks and feet like a d'Uccle chick. That's a lot like some of my darker d'Uccles look. Depending on who is the mama, this is potentially d'Uccle father. These are a couple of my d'Uccle pures at just a couple days old.

The last one looks a whole lot like one of my d'Uccle crosses. Here's a couple of my d'Uccle crosses. I found that most of them get a variation on the same pattern on their head and sometimes get some chipmunking down their backs. All of mine have the same mother (she's my surrogate broody in the pen to keep the eggs from getting too cold prior to collection for hatching), but she's not pure, so she throws some very interesting colors.

Looks to me like your d'Uccle is popular with the ladies.

Well I had a rooster that was always with them. A black copper Marans. CUTE CHICKS THOUGH!!! OMGOSHHH SOOO CUTE!!

Yep totally. I could see that.

I crossed this hen (we are fairly certain she is part cochin):

With this roo (he is pure d'Uccle mille fleur):

And got the cross babies I posted in my last post, one of which looks a great deal like yours.

It's wicked fun to know exactly who the parents are of a specific chick. I have 2 more hatched from this cross just this evening. They are in the 'bator getting fluffed and so far, don't look anything like the other 5 I have hatched already.

They look allot like mama!

I've done it many times without issue. Make sure there is enough space for the heat that the little ones don't get squished trying to get to the heat.

I've tried this once. chicks were a week apart, and my ancona chick who was 3weeks of age (the oldest one) about killed my mottled cochin that was 2 days old! I think I know why though... I just didn't think it would happen?
The cochin ended up a boy and his feathers are still messed up. The ancona tore up his head.... So when he was growing head feathers there was a scab there. Grew in weird....

I still put chicks of diffferent ages together, just got to watch them. like ya said.
