I have a very little chance any of my brodies will be ready in time, I likely will buy an incubator and use another small one
I have never tested it, but in last years forum for the Easter Hatch, a member showed how to create a broody using a square of aluminum foil above the nest box. It takes a couple of weeks or so, but it raises the hormones that tell them to go broody.
I've been afraid to try it, because I don't want a dozen Broodies all at once!![]()
I have used the same 'bator with great results. Have some in now that are thriving despite kids unplugging the extension cord....SMHGot myself another bator to use for the hatch along
Im in. Cream legbars and hopefully lavender orps and more. Depends on who is laying.
