@PaisyQ
i have the farmers innovator 4200, and actually just fired it up! i love it! if you have any questions, feel free to ask about it! :)

@Happy Chooks will there be the decorated egg contest this year??

Not this year, no.

I don't wash my turner unless an egg gets weepy.

Getting ready to set chickens tonight. Already have 23 bantam ducks going strong! I did a quick inventory. Um, somehow I seem to have about 10 dozen chicken eggs. Not really sure how that happened. I may need to make some decisions??? I have one more trip to the barn too so may end up with more since my son was the last one to check. He doesn't always check all the good hiding places.
These are all the shipped eggs
400

These are from my birds from the last 2 weeks minus 4-5 dozen I swapped and sold. Mostly mixes but there's some Silkies in there.
400

Pretty sure I've gone completely crazy!

We are currently at 292 participants in this hatch. Last year, we had 301. So...............invite your friends! We only need 10 more people to join!

now I'm wishing I would've taken a picture! Last summer, we had a very sudden downpour and I had some hysterically funny soaked chickens lol

Quote: Ok, I tried that and succeeded by putting the pump at a higher level. However now I have a different problem. The water that went inside, instead of just moisting the pad, its dripping from it. If I had eggs in the bator, the water would have been all over the eggs. I have the pad in perfect V shape, so what gives.

Probably because you had the humidity set so high to get it started, it pumped way more water than it will when it is just maintaining humidity. Plus, the pad is probably very dry to begin with, so won't absorb the water that drips from the tube immediately. Give it a few hours to run and let the humidity moderate. The pad will absorb some of the humidity and become more absorbent.

Thats a relief. I was about to disconnect it and send it back!

@KYTinpusher , ok so it dumped the whole can into the bator and it started leaking. I thought maybe it was because of the high level I had put it on. So I brought the pump town, cleaned up excess water, but we are back to where we started, humidity around 45% and while the pump is working, I don't see any water going in. Its very frustrating. Brinsea is better than this!
