Oh, and I just realized I never mention the breeds, so.... They are mixed breed. My rooster is kind of a wheaten colored Easter Egger, while I think that the eggs I set were from my Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, Black Star, Game Hen, White Leghorn, then I'm not quite sure about the rest

Is it to late to join the hatch along? I have eggs due to hatch on the 4th. 20 of them; 1 SLW, 1 EE, 5 Bantam Cochin, 3 Buff Orpington, 1 Jersey Giant, 5 Australorp, and 4 Orpa Lorpas... er... English Orpington/Australorp mix. LOL!

My hen didn't go properly broody in time, so my egg set count is zero. Maybe next year though.

Just as long as you set them on the 12th-16th period you can.

My broody decided to join the hatch-a-long last weekend without my permission. Because I saw her on/off the nest on Sat, I'm calling her start date on Sunday. (She stayed in the nest Sat night, so on Sunday after dark, I moved the whole nestbox into the garage.) I didn't want to disrupt her brood, but I finally felt around & discovered 7 LF eggs under 1 bantam broody.

I was able to get mine off of amazon with free shipping but it was the same price as what it would be from brinsea with shipping...lol
